In his poetry, Tim draws heavily from and writes about his encounter of life, as if sifting through the waters of various events in an ongoing search for depth, meaning, and self-discovery. Stylistically, Tim has the ability to communicate emotions related to grief, healing, and hope in beautifully visual and relatable ways.

“Writing has become one of the tools by which I process and seek to understand the world around me,” explains Tim, “especially by focusing on specific events and experiences.” One such event in Tim’s life was the deaths of his two brothers, David and Greg, when they drowned in 2014. Wrestling with this loss over the years has been the impetus for much of Tim’s writing and the driving theme of his inaugural work, Of Love and Loss.

Tim was born and raised in Pensacola, FL and has spent his adult life living in Alabama, specifically in Mobile, Montgomery, and Tallassee (not to be confused with Tallahassee, FL). He now lives in southern Indiana.

Tim also enjoys traveling and dabbling in photography. The photos featured with the poems on this site are his original photos.
